Welcome to First Grade!
I hope you have enjoyed your summer. I am so excited to welcome you to Room 111! As you know, the first day of school is Monday, August 31st. I will not be there to welcome you on the first day of school but Mrs. Blois will be. I had a baby boy in May and will be home with him and will return on October 5th. However, I am working behind the scenes to help with the beginning of the school year and the transition. I may pop in a couple of times the week before to see how everything is going. I can’t wait to meet you! We are going to have a fantastic school year and you are going to learn so much!
Don’t forget that the school day begins promptly at 8:10 (drop off is 7:55-8:10), bring a healthy, nut-free snack and water. There is no need to bring any supplies as the town has provided all that is needed.
Parents, please fill out the forms included and return them on the 1st day. This will help Mrs. Blois and I get to know your child and your family and be sure to let us know how your child will be getting home on the first day of school and each day afterwards.
Be sure to check out our class blog and enter your email to follow us and get an email whenever there is a new post: mrspanagiotopoulos.blogspot.com
As the town hopes to use less and less paper, my goal will be to post as much information on the blog as possible.
Have a wonderful 1st day of school!
