Bear Says Thanks

Today during reading we read Bear Says Thanks and practiced retelling the story with shared writing. Later in the day we watched our 4th grade buddies put on a play for us called Turkey Takes a Stand. Don't let anyone know but sometimes there is some fun in first ;)

Thanksgiving Break

Hello everyone, I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels if you are traveling. I hope you enjoy the time with your family. Just a reminder that tomorrow is an early release day and dismissal will be at 11:15. If your child is doing something different to go home PLEASE be sure to send a note in the morning. Also, students are going home on the bus they come in on in the morning, there are no combined buses in the afternoon. I will double check with the students but if your child takes a different bus in the morning than in the afternoon, can you please let me know. I want to make sure everyone gets to where they need to be. Thanks for your help and have a wonderful Thanksgiving break, Crystal

Election Day

From poll helpers to check everyone in and out, to personal polling stations, to homeroom questions and presidential write-in candidates:
Today Room 111 had their own mock election along with 2 questions to vote on. One question ended in a tie due to someone deciding not to answer it (which was a choice). That gave a valuable lesson about how important each person's voice truly is.
Don't tell anyone but we had a ton of fun :)
